Cadet Training

89 Pacific Air Cadet Squadron’s regular training takes place on Monday nights (6:15 – 9:30pm) at the Bay Street Armoury, in downtown Victoria BC. The training year runs from September through June, coinciding with school breaks and holidays. Unless otherwise informed, cadets arrive at the squadron in uniform.

Training is provided in 5 successive training levels. Each level takes a year to complete and is delivered over the course of one training year. With the exception of Level 5, the material taught at each level is divided into essentially the same areas of knowledge that are listed here:

When cadets reach Level 5 they become instructors for cadets in the earlier levels.

In addition to the weekly training night a lot of special training and activities are conducted at the squadron during the year, including summer training programs taking place in the province, across the nation, and even internationally.
